Jimmy Gaskin, a sophomore at San Francisco State, has been preparing meals since he was a small child. “I can never remember not cooking,” said Gaskin. “I’ve always helped my mom and my grandma cook and prepare dinner.” Last Saturday, Gaskin put his skills to the test and prepared artichokes stuffed with onions, mushrooms, and cheese for his friends. This slideshow documents the steps he took in order to prepare the delicious meal. Gaskin says that ideally he’d love to further his culinary training by getting a degree through a Le Cordon Bleu program which would give him training with pastries and other foods.
