Gualala, Calif: A hidden treasure

My favorite thing about Gualala is . . .

Everyday technologies like cell phone service, WiFi and even cable TV are shoddy at best, but the views can’t be beat and, the just over 500, residents love their sleepy little beach town.

Gualala (pronounced Wha –La-la), is a very windy trip up Highway 1, 115 miles north of SanFrancisco. Everyone who lives in Gualala – whether transplanted from a big city or born and raised there – loves it for different and special reasons.
