Creating your own Google Map

This week we talked about maps and how they can be used to enhance stories.

To embed your Google Map in your post on San Fran Beat follow these directions:

1. In the upper right corner of your Google Map, click on LINK.

2. Next, click on “Customize and preview embedded map.”

3. Set the width to 580 and the height to 350. Then copy everything in the box under “Copy and Paste this HTML to embed in your website”.

4. Open your post to edit it and click on the HTML tab.

3. Paste the code in your post either above your copy or after your copy. The code you paste should look something like this:
