SFSU records show three times as many seniors as sophomores in ’09

San Francisco State University had more than three times the number of seniors than sophomores in 2009, according to information contained in the SFSU Data Directory.

The university had 9,473 seniors enrolled as of the Fall 2009 semester, compared to 2,733 sophomores. Experts say that thanks to transfers from community colleges and the fact that fewer than 60 percent of college students graduate within six years, such a spread is not unusual.
