Joel Goulet grew up in Santa Cruz. A little over 12 years ago, Joel started thinking about playing the Saw when he saw the statue of a famous saw player in Santa Cruz. After doing some research, he found out that the statue of the saw player downtown was actually world famous. 12 years ago, inspired, Joel took a trip to his local hardware store, picked up a Chello bow and has been playing the saw ever since. He lives in San Francisco now, and only plays the saw occasionally at shows. His wife, Hillary also plats the saw and their wedding rings are tattoos they put onto each other. They don’ play the saw together as much as he’s like, however they have before. Although this is a saw that can chop down a tree branch, he wouldn’t recommend it, the teeth on the saw wouldn’t make it really hard.
